When Pomerleau, one of Canada’s leading construction firms, needed expert rock removal in the heart of Vancouver’s most famous park, they called Rock Busters. Working on Stanley Park Drive requires a delicate balance of heavy-duty power and minimal environmental disruption.

The Challenge
The project involved clearing large boulders to make way for site improvements. Because of the high pedestrian traffic and the ecological sensitivity of Stanley Park, traditional blasting was not an option. The rock was dense, requiring a high-output solution that could fit within a tight construction schedule.

The Rock Busters Approach
We deployed a dedicated 3-person crew over a 2-day duration to ensure the site was cleared safely and effectively.

Precision Drilling: Our team used industrial-grade rock drills to prep the boulders without causing excessive ground vibration.

Pneumatic Power: Utilizing our pneumatic splitting technology, we applied thousands of pounds of force to fracture the boulders from within.

Efficiency: By breaking the rock into smaller, manageable pieces, we allowed Pomerleau’s team to clear the debris quickly, keeping the project on track.
