When a massive boulder stands in the way of your project, you don’t always need heavy explosives or days of jackhammering. The Rock Busters team recently visited Gladys Avenue in Abbotsford to clear the path for a new development using our specialized precision splitting technology.

The Challenge
The site featured large, stubborn boulders that were too heavy to move with standard machinery and too close to existing structures for traditional blasting.

The Solution: “The Drill & Split” Method
Our crew utilized a high-efficiency pneumatic splitter system. This method allows us to break down rock from the inside out with surgical precision, minimizing noise and vibration for the surrounding neighborhood.

Equipment Used: High-performance rock drills & pneumatic hydraulic splitters.

The Process: We drilled strategic pilot holes into the granite, inserted the splitter, and applied controlled pressure to fracture the rock into manageable pieces.
