2024 flew by, and what a year it was!

We took on ambitious projects, built new partnerships, and made some game-changing moves. Now, as we step into 2025, we’re more excited than ever for what’s ahead!

Here’s a quick look at what we accomplished – and a sneak peek at what’s coming next.

Boulder Breaking on Burke Mountain, Coquitlam.

The name Burke means “fortified settlement,” fitting for Burke Mountain—a rugged mass of rock. Over the past three months, our crews have worked with DSM Excavating to break oversized boulders for easier transport. With some reaching 58 tons, the average size is 1.3 m³. So far, we’ve split 3,500 boulders, totaling 4,500 m³ (6,600 tons).

Jackhammering 30″ Suspended Concrete Beam

When a high rise project has the rebar sub-contractor forget some main rebar in the support beams and the general contractor unknowingly goes ahead and pours the concrete it is very difficult to undo. This is the task Rock Busters took on. We had to drill and grout the concrete to first weaken it, then carefully chip it off from around the existing rebar without damaging it. The job was a big success.

Luxury Home Project

Creating a space to build a new luxury home in North Vancouver. We removed all the rock from an area 5’-0’ deep x about 60’x50’. Around 369 M3 Over 1000 Tonnes of rock was hauled away.

Rock Demon

Rock Demon is one of our favorites. It is super powerful, versatile and lightweight. It works under the same principle as the old school feather and wedges but with the power of a high pressure air hammer doing the work.

Expanding Grout

Powerful Chemical Expansive Mortar, also know as Expanding Grout. Used for breaking apart any size of rock, any hardness, any where. Works well on concrete of any thickness even with rebar.
